IMPLANTABLE LOOP RECORDERS AS THE GOLD STANDARD FOR DETECTION OF RARE AND ASYMPTOMATIC EPISODES OF ATRIAL FIBRILLATION AND OF RISK OF THROMBOEMBOLIC EVENTS

Full Text:

Abstract

Potentialities of different devices for ECG monitoring, including implantable loop recorders, are considered for detection of atrial fibrillation; the information is given about the correlation of risk of thromboembolic events with the frequency and duration of paroxysms, as well as the arrhythmia burden.
