The Journal was founded in St.Petersburg following the first International Cardiostim Congress organized in February 1993 by Prof. Dmitry F. Egorov (St.Petersburg, Russia) and Jacques Mugica (St. Cloud, France). The first Editor-in-Chief was prof. Vladimir A. Almazov, and first deputy editors were prof. Dmitry F. Egorov and prof. Lev V. Chireykin. Initially, the Journal was published twice a year. In 1997, the journal was registered by the Committee of the Russian Federation for Press and became quarterly published, aiming at reaching cardiology audience across the Russian Federation. Since 2020 the Journal publishes articles in both, the Russian and English languages.
