Abstract
To analyze the incidence and type of termination of atrial fibrillation in the course of catheter ablation, i.e. intraablative termination, the data of examination and treatment were analyzed in 244 patients of 700 operated ones, in whom radiofrequency applications were performed at the background of atrial fibrillation and, in 150 cases, the sinus node recovery of transformation of atrial fibrillation into atrial flutter were found.

Abstract
To optimize the achievement of transmural injury of atrial myocardium in the course of the radiofrequency procedure “Labyrinth ”, 72 patients were operated in 1998-2005 including 60 patients with acquired heart diseases (24 men, 40%; 36 women, 60%) and 12 patients with congenital heart diseases (2 men, 17%, 10 women, 73%).

Abstract
To compare the protective effect of Sotalol as monotherapy and in combination with Perindopril, Rosuvastatin, and ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, 187 patients (101 men and 86 women) aged 39-64years (mean 54.2±3.5years) were studied after cardioversion due to persistent atrial fibrillation at the background of the coronary artery disease.

Abstract
The method is presented of assessment of the single-channel bipolar electrogram recorded from the endocardial bipolar electrode and based on the calculation of an asymmetry index of the signal; its potentialities are demonstrated for assessment of the character of excitation wavefront spreading and to reveal ectopic contractions; the dynamics of the asymmetry index is given in myocardial ischemia and heart failure progression.

Abstract
Echocardiographic criteria of effectiveness of biventricular cardiac pacing were studied in 23 patients with clinically significant chronic heart failure and alterations of intra-ventricular conduction; the significance of assessment intra-and inter-ventricular asynchrony was shown.

Abstract
To study the peculiarities of functioning of completely digital cardiac pacemakers, 50patients (45 men) aged 72.6±10.2years including 17patients with sino-atrial and atrio-ventricular blocks, 15patients with the atrio-ventricular block, 12 subjects with the sick sinus syndrome, and 6 ones with chronic atrial fibrillation and low heart rate were studied.

Abstract
To study the potentialities of use echocardiography for assessment of hemodynamic significance of the I-degree atrio-ventricular block and to search for an optimal atrio-ventricular delay, 20 patients with dual-chamber pacemakers implanted because of the sick sinus syndrome and transient atrio-ventricular block.

Abstract
The role of myocardial dyssynchrony in development of heart failure, the potentialities of use of resynchronizing treatment, indications for resynchronizing treatment, the results of main studies regarding the effect of resynchronizing treatment on the clinical course of the heart failure, physical working capacity, and the quality of life are considered.

Abstract
The current concepts of physiological cardiac pacing are considered, the results of multi-center studies are analyzed, the results of the authors' studies on the use of the regimens minimizing the pacing of the right ventricle, on biventricular pacing, and pacing of inter-ventricular septum are given.

Abstract
The results of endocardial electrophysiological study of a 8-year-old female patient with simultaneous distal penetration of Maheim tract into the cardiac conductive system and contractile myocardium are given; the mechanisms of induced orthodromic and antidromic supra-ventricular tachycardias are analyzed.

Abstract
The problems of epidemiology, electrophysiological mechanisms of diagnostics and treatment of the re-entry sinoatrial tachycardia are considered; the authors' data of examination and treatment of 6 patients with this infrequent cardiac arrhythmia are presented.
