Abstract
To study the effect of ω 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω 3 PUFA) on electrophysiological processes in atria and on clinical course of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation at the background of continuous treatment, 135 patients aged 19 63 years were examined.

Abstract
To study multiple accessory atrioventricular junctions, to determine their electrocardiographic and electrophysiological features and criteria for differential diagnosis, 118 patients including 64 men (54.2%) and 54 women (45.8%) aged 3 52 years were examined and underwent radiofrequency ablation in October 1981 through December 2006.

Abstract
To assess retrospectively the safety of catheter procedures for atrial fibrillation at the background of combined anticoagulant therapy, i.e. simultaneous use of both oral intake of anticoagulants in therapeutic doses and intravenous administration of non fractionated Heparin, the outcomes were studied in 310 patients aged 19-75 years.

Abstract
To assess the influence of standardized approach to diagnostics of vasovagal syncope, which included detailed medical history questioning, physical examination, and ECG recording, on the diagnostic value of tilt test, 124 patients (57 males and 67 females) aged 11 59 years (mean 34.7±15.8 years) were examined.

Abstract
To evaluate the frequency and peculiar features of development of ventricular premature beats in relation to breathing during sleep in 60 male patients with sleep apnea syndrome of various severity, abdominal type of obesity, arterial hypertension, and metabolic alterations, 24 hour ECG monitoring and nocturnal cardiorespiratory monitoring were performed.

Abstract
To study the antiarrhythmic activity of 3 hydroxy 6 methyl 2 ethylpyridine malatepatented as “Ethoxidol ", experiments with the use of three following models of cardiac arrhythmias were carried out: catecholamine myocardial micronecroses in mice, Aconitine arrhythmias in mice, and acute occlusion and reperfusion arrhythmias in cats.

Abstract
The origin of late ventricular potential, the technique of their recording with the aid of signal averaged electrocardiography, and prognostic value of delayed ventricular electrical activity in patients with different cardiovascular diseases are considered.

Abstract
The current concepts are given on metabolic syndrome, criteria of its diagnosis, peculiarities of medical treatment of different components of the metabolic syndrome, as well as the data on its influence on the incidence of cardiac arrhythmias and risk of sudden arrhythmic death.
CASE REPORTS
64-66 187
Abstract
A case report is given of the successful radiofrequency catheter modification of atrioventricular junction due to typical paroxysmal re-entry atrioventricular nodal tachycardia in a female patient with congenital malformation of veins: occlusion of inferior vena cava.
67-70 1311
Abstract
Three case reports are considered of revelation of an accessory left superior vena cava in the course of permanent endocardial pacing and catheter procedures with catheterization of the coronary sinus through the left subclavian vein.
71-74 169
Abstract
Two case reports of atrial flutter with verified re entry circuits at the right and left sides of interatrial septum are given; surface ECG characteristics are described and areas of slow conduction are shown; linear catheter ablations of them led to successful recovery from tachyarrhythmias.

Abstract
The data of examination and treatment were given for a 20-year-old patient with the long history of syncope, in whom the short QT interval syndrome was observed and ventricular fibrillation was induced in the course of endocardial electrophysiological study during the programmed pacing, which was an indication to implantation of cardioverter-defibrillator.

Abstract
A clinical case is presented, which shows a possibility of development of ectopic atrial post operative tachycardias as complications after the left atrial reduction by plication of its walls, as well as potentialities of their treatment by radiofrequency catheter ablation and medical antiarrhythmic treatment.
