To assess necessity of myocardial resynchronization in patients with atrial fibrillation and permanent ventricular pacing of the right ventricular apex in the late post-operation period after the atrioventricular junction destruction, 30 patients (9 men, 21 women) aged 61±9 years at the time of operation were examined.

To assess safety and effectiveness of automated external defibrillators used in a cardiologic intensive care unit for termination of life threatening cardiac arrhythmias, 918 patients with acute coronary syndrome (569 men and 349 women) were examined (including 760 patients with the ST segment elevation).

To study the prevalence of signs of anxiety and depression in patients after Q wave myocardial infarction without cardiac arrhythmias and those with paroxysmal or chronic atrial fibrillation, 177 patients (117 men, 66.1%) aged 46 65 years (mean 54.6±10.5 years) were examined.

To assess the clinical course of chronic heart failure in patients after the acute coronary syndrome without stable ST segment elevation depending on the presence/absence of atrial fibrillation and the data of single-photon emission computed tomography, 50 patients (30 males and 20 females) aged 45 68 years (mean 54.1±6.2 years) were examined.

To study peculiarities of cerebral hypoperfusion as well as its interrelation with bradycardia and systemic hypotension in the course of neurocardiogenic syncope induced by the tilt-test, 44 patients (22 males and 22 females) aged 8 17 years (mean 14±2.4 years) with a history and syncope and pre syncope were assessed.

To assess the diagnostic value to the live three-dimensional echocardiography (Live 3D Echo) for the revelation of indications to the cardiac resynchronization therapy and the control of its effectiveness, 18 patients aged 48-60 years (mean 55.2±5.3 years) with dilated or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy accompanied by chronic heart failure of III-IV functional classes according to the NYHA classification were examined.

To assess the potentialities of use of the RR-interval dynamics, rheopneumography, and pulse oximetry for the diagnostics and evaluation of severity of the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome with the aid of cardiorespiratory monitoring using the device “Kardiotekhnika 04 3PM”, 81 patients (18 females and 63 males) aged 37 80 years (mean 57.1±2.3 years) were studied.

To assess arrhythmogenic myocardial resistance in the course of a combination of post-infarction remodeling and diabetes mellitus, peculiarities of extrasystolic and post-extrasystolic inotropic responses were studied in 28 mature male Wister rats.

A case report is provided of the high frequency catheter destruction of the typical atrial flutter persisting for a long period time in a male patient with the ischemic cardiomyopathy, complete left bundle branch block, and severe chronic heart failure; the analysis of potential treatment strategies was made.

The case report data are provided regarding examination and treatment including the radiofrequency catheter ablation and the cardiac pacemaker implantation in a female patient with paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia caused by re-entry in the His bundle branches.

The results of examination which included Holter monitoring and transesophageal electrophysiological study are given of a patient with the intermittent WPW syndrome in combination with alterations of intra-atrial conduction.
