Abstract
То study the effect of the metabolic cytoprotector Mexicor on myocardial perfusion and to assess potentialities of its use as a part of complex treatment of coronary patients with ventricular arrhythmias, twenty coronary patients aged 3271 years (mean 49.5±1.5 years) with II-III-class stable angina confirmed by a positive stress test were examined.
12-16 179
Abstract
To assess the dynamics of the quality of life after the radiofrequency ablation of the slow pathway of atrioventricular junction in the patients with paroxysmal atrioventricular nodal reciprocal tachycardia, 61 patients with tachycardias and 20 healthy persons were examined using the questionnaires «Short Form Health Survey» (SF-36) and «Life of Patient with Arrhythmia».
17-21 157
Abstract
То assess somefactions ofmultichamber implantable cardioverters-defibrillators, the study was performed in patients with life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias to whom single- and multi-chamber devices were implanted.
22-25 146
Abstract
То assess the effectiveness of radiofrequency ablation of atrial focal arrhythmias depending on the level of ectopic activity, 123 patients aged 6-69 years (mean 21.2±4.2 years) were examined following the invasive treatment of atrial focal arrhythmias.
26-29 161
Abstract
То study the structure and dynamics of nosogenic psychical reactions in patients with different types of atrial fibrillation, 126patients (60 males and 66females) aged 50-70years were examined.
30-34 211
Abstract
То determine the normals of duration and dispersion of QT-, QTa-, and RTa- intervals for an automated analysis of long-term electrocardiogram records from single lead, 96 healthy persons aged 19-62 years were examined.

EXPERIMENYAL ARTICLES

35-39 123
Abstract
In acute experiments on rats, the effect was studied of Zofenopril and Captopril, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, on the severity of ventricular tachyarrhythmias occurred at early stages of myocardial infarction. Antiarrhythmic effect of intravenous infusion of Zofenopril in a dose of 2.5 mg/kg was shown that manifested in decreased frequency of episodes of tachyarrhythmia and of their total duration.

REVIEWS

40-44 417
Abstract
The problems of etiology and classification, electrophysiological mechanisms of the left-atrialfibrillation, modern techniques of invasive diagnostics and approaches to the interventional treatment of this cardiac arrhythmia are considered.
44-48 171
Abstract
The pathophysiological mechanisms are considered of development of atrial fibrillation in patients with arterial hypertension that connected with distension of atrial myocardium at the background of systolic and diastolic left ventricular dysfunction.
49-53 254
Abstract
The criteria of selection of the pacing regime and technique, as well as the model ofpacemaker in patients with the sick sinus syndrome depending on the state of the atrio-ventricular conduction and the risk of development of chronic atrial fibrillation were considered.

CASE REPORTS

58-62 151
Abstract
Transpericardial catheter ablation performed in a young adult male patient with paroxysmal idiopathic ventricular tachycardia is described; the endocardial mapping revealed an area of broad activation which did not meet the criteria of arrhythmogenic zone, whereas the epicardial mapping permitted one to localize and effectively eliminate the arryhthmogenic area in the right ventricle anterior wall.
62-65 193
Abstract
A clinical case report is presented of the successful radiofrequency catheter ablation o f incisional atrial flutter performed without non-fluoroscopic navigational systems in a female patient after aortic valve replacement by a valve-containing conduit.

GUIDELINE FOR PRACTITIONERS

66-70 191
Abstract
Novel pacemaker diagnostic and curative potentialities of modern pacemakers connected with pacing using the closed circuit of control based on the stroke volume assessment and remote monitoring of the patient state are considered.
70-73 207
Abstract
The disadvantages ofpacing of the right ventricular apex are considered. The following ways of their overcoming are discussed: increased atrioventricular delay, use of specific regimen of the device programming, pacing of the interventricular septum, and biventricular pacing.
