Abstract
To assess the influence of cardiac resynchronization therapy on hemodynamics, myocardial contractile function, and myocardial perfusion, 69patients (21 women, 48 men) aged55.4±8.3years (21 72years) with chronic heartfailure offunctional classes IIIIVby NYHA at the background of dilated (n=45) and ischemic (n=24) cardiomyopathy were examined.

Abstract
To study effectiveness of the radiofrequency ablation of incision tachycardias developed in the late post-operation period following surgical correction of congenital heart diseases, 16 patients aged 23.7±4.6 years (including 6 males) were examined and treated.

Abstract
To study diagnostic potentialities of quantitative blood pool single photon emission computed tomography for assessment of arrhythmogenic myocardial dysfunction and intracardiac hemodynamics in ventricular arrhythmias in children, pediatric patients and adolescents (n=76) aged 13.2±3.7 years (4 17 years) with idiopathic ventricular arrhythmias were examined.

Abstract
To study the asynchrony phenomenon, 100 pediatric patients aged 3 15 years with secondary inter atrial septal defects, 100 pediatric patients with different congenital heart diseases (Fallot’s tetralogy, patent ductus arteriosus, coarctation of aorta, and aortic stenosis), and 30 children free of congenital heart diseases were examined.

Abstract
To evaluate the serum interleukin 1ft, tumor necrosis factor a, autoantibodies to myocardium, myocardial damage markers, Troponin I, and fatty acid binding protein, 83 patients with coronary artery disease including 39 ones with paroxysmal and 26 ones with chronic atrial fibrillation as well as 30 healthy volunteers were examined.

Abstract
To study the impact of the permanent cardiac pacemaker implantation on the quality of life of patients with bradyarrhythmias, 73 patients aged 67.5±12.7 years (men: 49%) were examined using the SF 36 Health Status Survey questionnaire.

Abstract
To clarify the nature of the antiarrhythmic effect of U-50,488 in acute coronary occlusion and reperfusion modeled by the left coronary artery ligation, experiments were made on Wistar rats with body weight of 200-250 g narcotized with Ketamine (50 mg/kg intraperitoneally).

Abstract
To study changes in the level of free fatty acids and the cardiomyocyte mitochondria ability for oxidative phosphorylation in the course of the simultaneous development of post-infarction myocardial remodeling and diabetes mellitus, experiments were carried out on 40 mature male Wistar rats of the same age and biosamples of 20 patients were assessed, to whom coronary bypass grafting surgery was performed.

Abstract
The anatomic substrate and electrophysiological mechanisms causing the atrial fibrillation development are considered; up-to-date strategies of non-medical treatment of atrial fibrillation are discussed.

Abstract
A historical review of main clinical trials studying the effect of the cardiac resynchronization treatment for the chronic heart failure management is given; the authors’ experience in the biventricular cardiac pacemaker implantation is presented.
