Abstract

Abstract
To assess efficacy and safety of catheter ostial pulmonary vein isolation in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation taking the overall risk of complications (including thromboembolic and hemorrhagic events) into the account, 243 patients aged 56.09±10.14 years (25 79 years; 142 men [58.44%], 101 women [41.56%]; duration of the history of arrhythmia: 4.48±2.6 years) were examined and underwent the procedure.

Abstract
A case report is given of two-stage implantation of a system for cardiac resynchronization therapy using the endocardial access for the right-ventricular and atrial electrodes and the epicardial access for the left-ventricular electrode in a patient with persistent left upper vena cava and considerably dilated coronary sinus.
